Backend Engineer, Onboard Diagnostics, Vehicle Software

This role is based in Palo Alto, California.

Compensation:

$133,440 - $292,800/year + cash and stock awards + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with global OBD regulations and translate them into engineering requirements.
• Develop embedded diagnostic strategies using protocols such as UDS, CAN, and DoIP.
• Manage OBD certification activities and resolve compliance issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline compliance efforts.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proven background in automotive diagnostics and embedded software development.
• Experience with calibration tools and automotive communication networks.
• Proficiency in C/C++ or similar languages for embedded firmware development.
