Backend Engineer/API, Payments and Risk (US)

This role is based in Toronto, Canada.

Compensation:

$155,700 - $281,300/year

What you'll do:

Scope, design, build, and maintain APIs and services that handle billions of money movement requests.

Responsibilities:

• Debug and solve critical production issues across services.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with stakeholders to build new features.

Requirements:

• 2-12+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong coding skills in any programming language.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with large-scale financial tracking systems.
• Knowledge of cloud-based services (e.g., AWS, Docker/Kubernetes).
