Backend Engineer, Internal Systems

This role is based in Seattle, with options for hybrid or remote work.

Compensation:

$155,700 - $281,300/year

What you'll do:

Design, build, test, and ship code for internal systems, ensuring a great customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Build a great customer experience for internal and external teams.
• Participate in roadmap planning and prioritization.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across Stripe.
• Debug production issues across services.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience in building scalable backend infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Scala, Java, or Ruby.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with big-data technologies like Spark and Presto.
• Familiarity with workflow automation tools such as Apache Airflow.
