Backend Engineer, Internal Systems

This role is remote in the United States.

Compensation:

$155,700 - $281,300/year

What you'll do:

• Build a great customer experience for internal and external Stripe teams using our infrastructure.
• Participate in roadmap planning and prioritization.
• Deliver value through collaboration with multiple customers and stakeholders across Stripe.
• Debug production issues across services and several levels of the stack.

Minimum Requirements:

• 3+ years of industry Software Engineering experience.
• Experience building scalable backend infrastructure.
• Proficient in writing high-quality code, preferably in Scala, Java, or Ruby.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience solving complex compliance or business problems.
• Familiarity with big-data technologies such as Spark and Presto.
• Experience with workflow automation tools like Apache Airflow.
