Backend Engineer, Internal Systems

This role is remote in Canada.

Compensation:

$155,700 - $281,300 per year

What you'll do:

Design, build, test, and ship code for internal systems, ensuring a great customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Build a great customer experience for internal and external Stripe teams using our infrastructure
• Participate in roadmap planning and prioritization
• Deliver value through a strong collaborative approach with multiple customers and stakeholders across Stripe
• Debug production issues across services and several levels of the stack

Requirements:

• 3+ years of industry Software Engineering experience
• Experience building scalable backend infrastructure
• Proficient in Scala, Java, and Ruby

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience solving complex compliance or business problems
• Familiarity with big-data technologies such as Spark and Presto
• Experience with workflow automation tools like Apache Airflow
