Backend / API Engineer, Billing

This role is based in New York with options for hybrid or remote work.

Compensation:

$156,800 - $285,600/year

What you'll do:

Shape and build products to help users operate their businesses efficiently. Collaborate with teams across infrastructure, security, design, and operations.

Responsibilities:

• Design the next generation of Stripe products.
• Deliver value through collaboration with stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and debug production issues.

Requirements:

• 2-12+ years of backend software development experience.
• Proficiency in languages like Go, Java, C/C++.
• Experience with large scale distributed systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures.
• Experience in subscription management and financial reporting systems.
