This role is based in London or Stockholm, working within the Music Mission team.
What you'll do:
- Design, build, and operate backend services and data pipelines for Spotify Rights Center.
- Collaborate with product, insights, design, and engineering teams to meet the needs of rightsholders and partners.
- Deliver scalable, maintainable backend systems with strong operational ownership.
- Contribute to modern engineering practices and a healthy team culture.
Who you are:
- Strong experience in designing and building distributed, high-volume services in Java or similar languages.
- Familiarity with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
- Proactive in identifying technical debt and ensuring quality through testing and automation.
Where you'll be:
Flexible work location within the EMEA region, excluding France.
