This role is based in London or Stockholm with flexibility to work from home.
What you'll do:
- Build, deploy, and operate backend (Java) services that mitigate fraud and abuse at scale.
- Collaborate closely with data engineers using Spotify’s data tech stack (Scala, Scio, Google Dataflow).
- Design APIs, workflows, and system safeguards to protect legitimate users.
- Improve system reliability, scalability, and observability.
Who you are:
- 2+ years of experience in backend services.
- Experienced with APIs, distributed systems, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Strong focus on system reliability and operational excellence.
