Backend Engineer

This role is based in Toronto, with flexibility to work from home while attending in-person meetings three times a week.
What you'll do:
- Design, develop, and deploy backend services that scale and are highly available.
- Build and operate infrastructure and deployment pipelines using Golang, Python, and Java.
- Collaborate closely with other specialists in an autonomous, cross-functional team.
- Take operational responsibility for your team's services, including on-call support.
- Apply AI-assisted development practices to enhance efficiency and code quality.
Who you are:
- A collaborative team player with experience in large-scale distributed systems.
- Skilled in writing high-performance services in Golang or Python.
- Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, GKE, and Google Cloud Platform.
