Backend Engineer

This role is based in Toronto, with flexibility to work from home while attending in-person meetings three times a week.

What you'll do:

• Design, develop, and deploy backend services that scale and are highly available.
• Build and operate infrastructure and deployment pipelines using Golang, Python, and Java.
• Collaborate closely with other specialists in an autonomous, cross-functional team.
• Take operational responsibility for your team's services, including on-call support.
• Apply AI-assisted development practices to enhance efficiency and code quality.

Who you are:

• A collaborative team player with experience in large-scale distributed systems.
• Skilled in writing high-performance services in Golang or Python.
• Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, GKE, and Google Cloud Platform.
