This role is based in Toronto, with flexibility to work from home and in-person meetings.
Compensation:
$103,321 – $147,602 CAD/year plus equity
What you'll do:
- Contribute to Spotify’s monorepo migration by building and evolving core tooling and infrastructure
- Solve complex integration challenges across CI/CD systems and developer workflows
- Maintain and enhance internal platforms like Fleetshift and Production Policy Enforcer
- Design and implement reliable backend systems, primarily in Java
- Own end-to-end solutions from design through delivery
- Lead smaller technical initiatives within the squad
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure the monorepo strategy meets engineering needs
- Automate workflows to reduce developer toil
Who you are:
- Experience building backend systems in Java
- Comfortable with complex distributed architectures
- Ability to drive technical problems from design to implementation
- Focus on developer experience and automation
- Experience with cloud-native environments like Google Cloud Platform or Kubernetes
- Collaborative approach prioritizing team success
- Curious and resilient in problem-solving
