Backend Engineer , Data Infrastructure

This role is based in New York, with flexibility to work from home and some in-person meetings.

Compensation:

$125,562 - $179,374/year plus equity

Responsibilities:

• Build, operate, and evolve the data analytics platform including backend services and OLAP data store (Druid).
• Develop internal tooling and libraries for analytics integration.
• Advocate for best practices in service design and data modeling.
• Collaborate with teams across Spotify to deliver new product objectives.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience with distributed datastores and backend services.
• Proficient in Java; familiarity with Kubernetes and Terraform is a plus.
• Experience with OLAP databases or analytics warehouses.
• Strong sense of ownership and operational excellence.
