Backend Engineer, Core Infrastructure

This role is based in London or Stockholm, with flexibility to work from home and some in-person meetings.

What you'll do:

• Own and evolve Spotify’s perimeter infrastructure, handling massive traffic between clients and backend services.
• Design, build, and maintain systems for cloud networking, provisioning, and monitoring.
• Enhance traffic protection capabilities, including DDoS mitigation.
• Run disaster recovery exercises and troubleshoot complex system behaviors.

Who you are:

• Experience with Kubernetes and networking fundamentals.
• Strong coding skills in at least one programming language.
• Comfortable operating and debugging distributed systems.
• Methodical approach to solving infrastructure challenges.
