Security Engineer, Insider Threat Detection & Response

This role is based in San Francisco, Seattle, New York City, or remote.

Compensation:

$260K – $405K/year + Offers Equity

Responsibilities:

• Innovate on Detection and Response infrastructure to engineer and automate workflows.
• Develop and tune detection rules for effective operations.
• Drive projects focusing on insider threats and emerging risks.
• Collaborate with HR, Legal, and investigative teams.
• Utilize AI to enhance OpenAI’s security posture.

Requirements:

• 5+ years in detection/response or insider-risk roles.
• Familiarity with macOS, Windows, Linux, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge of adversary tactics and incident management.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Ability to manage projects and prioritize risk reduction.
