Distributed Systems Engineer (L6) - Commerce Product Data Engineering

This role is remote, based in the USA.

Compensation:

$170,000 - $720,000/year

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical vision for ML-oriented data products.
• Architect and build distributed data systems at scale using technologies like Spark, Flink, and Kafka.
• Partner with ML Platform teams to ensure data quality and service-level guarantees.
• Drive reliability and operational excellence in ML-critical data systems.
• Provide technical mentorship across teams.

Requirements:

• Deep expertise in ML data systems and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Java or Scala and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale data pipelines.
• Strong communication skills to translate ML and engineering needs.
• Ownership mindset towards system reliability and observability.
