Distributed Systems Engineer (L5) - Service Networking

This role is remote and involves building and operating functionality within the data plane and control plane to enhance security, observability, and resilience for cloud traffic.

Compensation:

$100,000 - $720,000/year

Responsibilities:

• Build and operate functionality within our data plane and control plane.
• Improve developer experience and product experience in collaboration with team members and customers.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience with building and operating highly reliable distributed systems in a cloud environment.
• Understanding of Service Mesh technologies such as Envoy-based service mesh, Istio, LinkerD.
• Deep understanding of gRPC and security concerns like DDoS, TLS, authentication, and authorization.
• Pragmatic thinking and problem-solving skills.
