Compensation:

$499,000 - $900,000/year

Responsibilities:

  • Own the technical direction of the Ad Eventing team, including architecture reviews and incident leadership.
  • Architect and evolve the end-to-end ad event pipeline under strict latency and throughput constraints.
  • Scale event ingestion infrastructure to handle billions of events per day.
  • Design and implement robust deduplication and validation systems.
  • Build and operate stream processing pipelines using technologies like Kafka or Flink.
  • Define and maintain authoritative event schemas and data contracts.
  • Drive operational excellence across the eventing stack.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in building distributed systems and backend services.
  • Deep experience with high-throughput event ingestion and stream processing.
  • Experience with event deduplication and validation systems in an ads environment.
  • Strong understanding of delivery semantics and idempotency patterns.
  • Technical leadership experience across multiple teams.

Tech stack:

Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming, and other relevant technologies.
