Software Engineer II - Apache Spark

This role is based in Vancouver, Canada.

Compensation:

CAD $85,000 - CAD $166,800/year

Overview:

As a Software Engineer II on the Azure Data engineering team, you will work on big data analytics products, helping to rebuild how analytics engines process data.

Responsibilities:

• Work with a team to deliver success for customers.
• Design, implement, test, and operate data services.
• Release features on time, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Drive quality from the design phase.
• Solve problems related to mission-critical services.
• Participate in product live site and operations.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 2+ years of experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• 1+ year professional experience with Apache Spark or similar technologies.

Preferred:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 3+ years of experience with coding.
• Experience with database internals and building scalable cloud services.
