Compensation:

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. In specific locations like the San Francisco Bay area and New York City, the range is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine requirements and conceptualize high-level designs for features.
  • Drive identification of dependencies and develop design documents for Azure Core Compute services.
  • Create, implement, debug, refactor, and optimize code for maintainability and performance.
  • Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI), contributing to on-call rotations and monitoring service health.
  • Learn new technologies to improve service availability and reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 4+ years of technical engineering experience.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in high-stakes production service environments.
  • Preferred: 8+ years of experience in large-scale distributed systems.
