Principal Security Engineer

This role is based in Redmond, Washington.

Compensation:

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $163,000 - $296,400 per year.

Responsibilities:

• Define and drive security architecture for Microsoft’s OS codebase and cloud services.
• Influence platform-wide security posture and ensure compliance.
• Apply AI-driven approaches to vulnerability discovery and automated defense.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver secure solutions.

Qualifications:

• Doctorate in related field with 5+ years experience, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to meet Microsoft security screening requirements.
