Security Engineering Manager - Surface Coverage, Detection Engineering

This role is based in Bellevue, WA with additional locations available.

Compensation:

$184,000/year to $257,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Influence and align the organization’s vision and strategy, developing multi-year roadmaps.
• Measure team impact and set clear expectations and goals.
• Partner with leadership for org design and prioritization.
• Lead engineering practices to sustain a high-performance team.
• Integrate security in a fluid and evolving environment.
• Build relationships with cross-functional partners for effective project execution.
• Hire and grow a high-performing team.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Data Science on metrics related to attack detection.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience in Security.
• 8+ years in Security or Software Engineering, including 3+ years in technical management.
• Proven track record in supporting security research or engineering teams.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional programs.
• Knowledge of operating systems and scripting experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expertise in Security domains and experience with Public Cloud environments.
• Background in security-focused software engineering or offensive security.
• Experience in threat hunting and identifying suspicious behavior.
