Security Engineer, Incident Response

This role is remote, based in the UK.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct security investigations and lead incident response in a cross-functional environment.
• Develop initiatives to improve incident response capabilities.
• Refine operational metrics and key performance indicators.
• Influence and align the team’s vision and strategy.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve detection and response challenges.
• Focus on automating and scaling detection and response capabilities.
• Coach and mentor team members for career development.

Minimum Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in Security Incident Response and Detection & Response Engineering.
• Technical and process subject matter expertise in Security Operations.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional programs.
• Knowledge of networking technologies and operating systems.
• Coding/scripting experience in general-purpose languages.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in malware analysis, digital forensics, and threat intelligence.
• Experience in threat hunting and identifying suspicious behavior.
