Security Engineer

This role is based in Bellevue, WA with additional locations including Menlo Park, CA; Washington, DC; New York, NY; and remote options.

Compensation:

$264,000/year to $342,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-organizational technical teams to solve challenging cross-domain security problems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to build shared context and tackle larger security challenges.
• Own and address security risks at Meta while enabling fast-paced innovation.
• Provide technical guidance and define project goals with cross-functional partners.
• Enhance engineering excellence in security practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

• B.S. in Computer Science or related field.
• 15+ years of experience managing security risk in large organizations.
• Experience with system design, threat modeling, and risk assessment.
• Knowledge of current threat tactics and security principles.
• Effective communication skills to create clarity for others.
