Detection & Response Security Engineer, Intern

This internship is based in London, UK and starts in Summer 2026.

Responsibilities:

  • Triage security alerts and support incident response.
  • Work on projects to improve detection and response capabilities.
  • Analyze attacker techniques through log analysis.
  • Develop workflows in automation systems using Python and SQL.
  • Perform Threat Modeling for various assets.
  • Design attack testing automation.
  • Track threat clusters targeting Meta's infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience analyzing network and host-based security events.
  • Knowledge of networking technologies and operating systems.
  • Coding/scripting experience in general-purpose languages.
  • Understanding of attacker tactics and techniques.
  • Must maintain work authorization in the country of employment.
  • Intent to return to full-time degree program after the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Detection & Response Engineering.
  • Experience with SOAR platforms and automation.
  • Background in security-focused software engineering.
  • Experience in threat hunting and anomaly detection.
