This role is based in Waterloo, ON, Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Work with customers on their production deployments to resolve issues and achieve product readiness, availability, and scale.
- Develop in-depth understanding of Google Cloud's product technology and architectures by troubleshooting, reproducing, and determining the root cause for customer-reported issues.
- Act as a consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders to resolve technical deployment obstacles.
- Advocate for customer needs with internal teams to improve the product.
- Ensure 24-hour customer support, including non-standard work hours.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in troubleshooting, advocating for customers' needs, or software development.
- Experience creating content for technical audiences.
- Proficiency in Java, C, C++, Python, Go, or JavaScript.
- Experience with network troubleshooting tools.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with distributed systems and cloud services.
- Knowledge of financial exchange industry terminology.
- Experience with ultra-low latency systems and networking protocols.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and networking fundamentals.
