Technical Solutions Developer, Infrastructure, Compute, VMWare, Google Cloud

This role is based in Waterloo, ON, Canada.

Compensation:

CAD 118,000-121,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Manage escalations through effective diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution on VMware workloads on Google Cloud Platform products.
• Collect and analyze technical troubleshooting evidence to diagnose and resolve VMware deployments.
• Act as a subject matter expert for internal stakeholders and external partners to improve VMware on Google Cloud Platform.
• Collaborate with SRE teams to ensure high-quality production and respond to outages.
• Advocate for customer needs with cross-functional teams to improve product quality.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in enterprise cloud solutions including technical support and issue resolution.
• Experience with VMware technologies (vSphere, vSAN, NSX-T).
• Experience in compute infrastructure and maintaining cloud solutions in virtualized environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• VMware Certified Professional or similar higher certifications.
• Experience with IaaS solutions and cloud identity/security models.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
