As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Global Network Acquisition team is responsible for planning, design, sourcing and delivery of the global network infrastructure that connects every Google application and Google Cloud product to our users and customers globally. With the planned rollout of new AI hub in India, the role is critical to ensure timely, quality and cost effective delivery of scalable network connecting existing and upcoming data centers across India and rest of world.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 5 years of experience managing programs and processes across distributed systems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Prior experience designing or building fiber optic or FTTx networks.
  • Knowledge of data center operations, networking deployments, including knowledge of networking switches, routers, load balancers or IP networking.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure best unit cost delivery for Google network infrastructure aligned to near build cost economics.
  • Project manage the approved network plan with internal contributors such as network negotiators or vendor delivery managers to ensure infrastructure is delivered on-time.
  • Collaborate with internal business and cross-functional teams to identify and define tactical and strategic initiatives necessary to meet Google's network infrastructure needs for expansion, resilience and cost optimization across India.
  • Identify stakeholders and work with them to strategize, plan, and prioritize objectives and success criteria. Estimate task duration, and ensure schedules and dependencies are aligned and support those objectives.
  • Develop executive ready materials (presentations, dashboard, analysis) to support reviews, operating cadence and decision making.
