As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and the implementation of GenAI-driven moderation frameworks to enhance operational scalability.
  • Track record in planning, organizing, and risk management for high-stakes, cross-functional programs.
  • Ability to utilize data analysis tools and drive focused insights and performance improvements.
  • Strong capability to influence without authority across peer program managers, engineering leads, and executive leadership Generative AI.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and build operational solutions using Generative AI to enhance moderation, scalability and efficiency.
  • Manage the generation of platinum labels to drive continuous model improvements and establish quality benchmarks.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for global regulatory workflows, ensuring compliance with mandates like the DSA and CMA.
  • Oversee end-to-end project lifecycles from concept to launch, coordinating closely with cross-functional Engineering and Product teams.
  • Monitor program metrics and risks, communicating progress and performance effectively to executive leadership.
