This role is based in Mountain View, CA.

Compensation:

$207,000 - $301,000/year + 20% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the photos security strategy.
  • Set and drive security practice standards and guidance for the Photos team.
  • Plan and execute infrastructure changes to help Photos maintain a leading security position.
  • Lead threat assessments to identify vulnerabilities and new attack vectors against Photos infrastructure and products.
  • Drive product vulnerability response and remediation, including repros, mitigations, and hardening.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 5 years of experience building software for data privacy or security.
  • 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
  • Experience with security analysis in various areas.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a related field.
  • 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Understanding of threat modeling and security assessments.
  • Passion for security and backend development.
