Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure, Google Chat

This position is located in Sunnyvale, CA.

Compensation:

$207,000-$300,000 + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Lead product direction and technical design by proposing and driving cross-cutting infrastructure migrations.
• Build backend primitives that empower GenAI features.
• Instill a culture of accountability for system reliability.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience building large-scale infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in a technical field.
• 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
