Software Engineer, Google Distributed Cloud

This role is based in Sunnyvale, CA, USA.

Compensation:

$166,000-$244,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, test, deploy, secure, and support the operating system and node related components of the GDC stack.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements and convert them to designs.
• Solve ambiguous problems including scoping, design, implementation, and testing of GDC connected solutions.
• Create high-quality deliverables to remove development and operations bottlenecks.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Go or C++).
• Experience in Linux, Linux drivers, and operating systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with GPU drivers, Kubernetes, and distributed systems.
• Knowledge in fleet management, logging and monitoring systems.
