Compensation:

CAD 144,000-148,000 + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging threats to defend Google's ads ecosystem.
  • Build statistical and ML models for spam detection and filtering.
  • Collaborate with product areas and research teams to apply Machine Learning in fraud detection.
  • Instrument Google ads products to collect traffic signals for anomaly detection.
  • Analyze botnet workflows through traffic analysis and reverse engineering.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of software development experience or 1 year with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related fields.
  • Experience with statistical analysis, data mining, and anomaly detection.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks.
  • Frontend development skills with modern web technologies.
  • Experience in security analysis and vulnerability research.
