This role is based in New York, NY or Raleigh, NC with opportunities to work on a Managed Kafka platform on GCP.

Compensation:

$166,000-$244,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of the Managed Kafka backend stack, integrating it into GCP.
  • Utilize expertise in OSS Kafka and distributed systems programming.
  • Develop primarily using Java and Go.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
  • 3 years of experience with large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
  • Experience with Apache Kafka.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Distributed Systems, or Data Analytics.
