Compensation:
$118,000-$170,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
About the job:
Work with network equipment and monitor systems for attacks, collaborating with software engineers to identify and fix security vulnerabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in a 24/7 global operation that hunts for and responds to security events.
- Investigate various events to assess threats to Google.
- Engage in security incidents and collaborate with teams to enhance detection capabilities.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience with security assessments or threat modeling.
- 1 year of coding experience in general purpose languages.
- Experience with security engineering and protocols.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with Cloud environments, such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience in analyzing large data sets and intrusion detection systems.
- Experience with threat hunting and signals development.
