Security Engineer, Cloud Threat and Abuse Detection

This role is based in Sunnyvale, CA.

Compensation:

$147,000-$211,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Research new detection techniques to prevent/mitigate abusive activities.
  • Develop high fidelity detection to identify malicious activity.
  • Analyze logs and packets to increase detection accuracy.
  • Hunt for threats and respond proactively.
  • Create and manage tools for abuse reports and threat intelligence data.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with security assessments or threat modeling.
  • 2 years of experience with security engineering and protocols.
  • 2 years of coding experience in general-purpose languages.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in cloud security, network security, or threat detection.
  • Experience with forensics and analyzing malicious network traffic.
