Compensation:

$147,000-$211,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

About the job:

As a Security Engineer, you will work with network equipment, monitor systems for attacks, and collaborate with software engineers to identify and fix security flaws. You will also develop detection mechanisms, automate remediation, and conduct threat hunting.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in a 24/7 global operation responding to security events.
  • Investigate various events to assess threats to Google.
  • Collaborate with teams to enhance detection capabilities.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.
  • 2 years of experience in security engineering and protocols.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in responding to security incidents.
  • Experience in Go, Python, C/C++, or Java.
  • Experience with Cloud environments and intrusion detection systems.
