About the job:

The PRISM team focuses on uncovering risks across the access landscape and fortifying security measures. As a Security Engineer, you will work on security research and risk mitigation systems, helping to transform how Google manages internal access risk.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify emerging access risks and design technical solutions to mitigate them.
  • Architect security risk mitigation systems for continuous assessment and remediation.
  • Consult on complex security challenges across Product Areas.
  • Lead technical execution for the Internal Access Control program suite.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience in security assessments or design reviews.
  • 1 year of coding experience in general-purpose languages.
  • Experience in infrastructure security or security research.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with distributed security systems or automated remediation frameworks.
  • Complex threat modeling for large-scale distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of system hardening techniques and security architectures.
