Staff Backend Engineer- Java (Remote across ANZ)

This role is remote across ANZ with the option to work from Canva's offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, or Adelaide.

What you'll do:

• Define the technical roadmap and architecture for API platforms.
• Guide implementation and mentor engineers.
• Propose innovative solutions for distributed cloud infrastructure.

You're probably a match if:

• You have 10+ years of experience in developing distributed web applications on the JVM, particularly with Java.
• You possess strong communication skills and experience in mentoring.
• You have expertise in asynchronous programming and cloud environments, ideally AWS.
