Staff Backend Engineer- Java - API Patform (Remote across ANZ)

This role is remote across ANZ, with a flagship campus in Sydney.

Responsibilities:

• Define the technical roadmap and architecture for API platforms.
• Guide implementation and mentor other engineers.
• Propose innovative solutions for distributed cloud infrastructure.

You're probably a match if:

• 10+ years of experience in developing distributed web applications on the JVM, particularly in Java.
• Strong communication skills and experience mentoring engineers.
• Expertise in asynchronous programming and large distributed cloud environments, ideally AWS.
