Senior Software Engineer - CDN (Cloudflare or similar technologies)

This role is based in Sydney, Australia with hybrid work options available.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement core components of the edge platform, including worker frameworks and observability tooling.
• Lead initiatives to improve system reliability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate across teams to define high-impact solutions.
• Write technical proposals and documentation.
• Investigate and resolve complex operational incidents.
• Drive improvements to engineering processes.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to a learning-focused culture.

Requirements:

• Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Terraform, CI/CD.
• Strong understanding of DNS, Firewall, Security, Load Balancing, CDN, and Edge Computing.
• Hands-on experience with major edge providers like Cloudflare.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and effective communication.

You will be joining the Edge team, managing Canva's Cloudflare layer to ensure security and efficiency.
