Senior Backend Engineer - Java - Product Platform

This role is based in Sydney, Australia with hybrid work options available.

Responsibilities:

• Build and evolve core backend frameworks, shared services, and developer APIs.
• Design and deliver scalable systems that are easy to use, maintain, and extend.
• Collaborate across Platform and Product teams to improve observability and developer workflows.
• Mentor engineers and advocate for a culture of simplicity and reliability.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in building scalable backend systems.
• Proficiency in Java or other JVM-based languages.
• Strong understanding of API design and modular architecture.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
