Security Engineering Manager - Detection & Response (ANZ remote)

This role is based in Melbourne, VIC, Australia with hybrid work options available.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team dedicated to building, scaling, and enhancing systems for incident response to security threats.
• Act as a technical leader to guide project direction and execution.
• Coach and mentor team members for their growth.
• Ensure top-tier detection, logging, and automation systems in a cloud-native environment.
• Collaborate with the Detection & Response team and the wider security group.

Requirements:

• Strong engineering background with experience in detection and response capabilities.
• Hands-on experience in detection engineering, logging pipelines, and security automation.
• Experience in cloud-native environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Beneficial Experience:

• Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized environments.
• Experience with forensic fundamentals and incident response efforts.
