Principal Software Engineer - User Platform Team

This role is based in Melbourne, VIC, Australia with remote work options available.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical direction for User Platform's complex cross-cutting programs.
• Provide technical leadership across Identity & Access Management.
• Architect and oversee the migration of access checks into an authorisation platform.
• Make high-stakes technical trade-offs for critical infrastructure.
• Mentor and enable the broader User Platform engineering team.
• Represent User Platform's technical strategy at executive levels.

Requirements:

• Deep expertise in Identity & Access Management at scale.
• Experience with Zanzibar-style authorisation systems and zero-trust architectures.
• Strong system architecture and technical leadership skills.
• Proven track record of driving platform adoption across large engineering organisations.
