Head of Detection and Response - Security Engineering Director

This role is based in Sydney, NSW, Australia with hybrid work options available.

What you’d be doing:

• Leading multiple teams across Australia, New Zealand, and the UK to provide Threat Intelligence, Detection & Hunting, and Incident Response capabilities.
• Setting a clear mission and strategic direction for security detection and response.
• Coaching team leads to create and deliver impactful roadmaps.
• Building partnerships with key stakeholders to align security initiatives with company objectives.
• Communicating insights from threat intelligence and security incidents to inform risk management.
• Fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

You're probably a match if:

• You have demonstrated experience in Information Security and leading Security teams in Detection & Response.
• You have experience building and scaling security operations in a high-growth technology environment.
• You possess a deep technical understanding of modern security tools and incident response procedures.

Beneficial Experience:

• Experience with cloud-native security tools (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Background in specialized security domains (malware analysis, threat hunting).
