Engineering Manager (BE) - Visual Suite Platform (Remote ANZ)

This role is remote within Australia, with a focus on driving alignment across diverse teams and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Drive alignment and momentum across teams
• Partner with Product and Design to achieve goals
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers
• Make technical decisions for the Visual Suite Platform
• Design and deploy features with cross-functional teams

Requirements:

• Experience leading backend engineering teams
• Strong technical background in backend systems
• Experience in distributed cloud environments (AWS preferred)
• User-first mindset in software development

The Visual Suite Platform team consists of 20+ engineers delivering critical infrastructure and features for Canva's visual productivity tools.
