Engineering Manager (BE) - Permissions and Capabilities (Remote ANZ)

This role is based in Melbourne, VIC, Australia with remote work options available.

Responsibilities:

Lead a talented group of engineers to scale services handling authentication and authorization.

Coach and mentor the team, ensuring psychological safety and high performance.

Collaborate with product and design leaders to solve complex technical challenges.

Drive initiatives around performance, reliability, and developer experience.

Requirements:

• Experience leading engineering teams and building a positive culture.
• Deep backend expertise, particularly in scalable Java systems.
• Experience with complex permissioning systems or access control infrastructure.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for coaching and developing team members.
