Backend Software Engineer - Product & Features (Java) - Open to remote across ANZ

This role is based in Sydney, Australia with remote work options available.

What you'll do:

• Design and implement backend features within existing service architecture.
• Build and maintain services that power user experiences and internal systems at scale.
• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Contribute to system health by writing tests and fixing bugs.
• Continuously learn through mentorship and exposure to different parts of Canva’s engineering stack.
