Backend Engineer, User Platform - Java (Remote across ANZ)

This role is remote across ANZ.

What you'll do:

• Collaborate within a backend-focused engineering team to extend and scale the User Product.
• Design, build, and maintain high-performance systems for user authentication and management.
• Develop reusable and scalable building blocks for teams across Canva.
• Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to incident response.

You're probably a match if:

• You have experience with high-performance, large-scale Java backend systems.
• You possess strong problem-solving skills and a solid foundation in computer science.

Nice to have:

• Experience with authentication systems and familiarity with SQL and DynamoDB.
