Lead Engineer (Traffic) - Apple Maps

This role is based in Zurich, Switzerland.

Responsibilities:

• Guide technical decisions and ensure high-quality engineering execution.
• Contribute by writing production-grade code and reviewing team members' work.
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers across Zurich and Cupertino.
• Collaborate with product teams to define roadmaps and deliver impactful features.

Minimum Qualifications:

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience in software development and leading engineers.
• Foundation in algorithms, distributed systems, and data processing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in traffic, navigation, or geospatial systems.
• Proficiency in a typed language such as Java, Scala, or C++.
• Familiarity with scalable data architectures and cloud-native infrastructure.
