Description
The Deals & Promotions team builds the systems that help hundreds of millions of Amazon customers discover the best offers. We own the full stack: from the customer-facing shopping experience to the backend services and ML-powered ranking models that decide which deals you see and in what order. We're hiring an SDE to work across this stack. You'll design and ship features that directly impact how customers find and engage with deals -- whether that's improving our ranking and personalization systems, building new discovery experiences, or integrating with AI-driven automation that powers deal curation. The work is high-visibility: changes you make are measurable in customer engagement and revenue, especially during peak events like Prime Day.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
