Security Engineer, Threat Detection

This role is based in Arlington, VA.

Compensation:

$136,000 - $184,000/year

Responsibilities:

• Identify critical threats and deliver high-fidelity threat detections.
• Enhance detection engineering processes and develop platform requirements.
• Research and develop advanced detection capabilities using machine learning.
• Automate challenges using Python or other scripting languages.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience in security alerts and response automation.
• Proficiency in scripting with Python, Perl, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of web protocols and Linux/Unix architecture.
• 1+ years of experience in threat modeling, secure coding, or network security.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Machine Learning and Large Language Models.
